EPA's Regional Haze Program
Abstract: The Regional Haze Rule calls for state and federal agencies to work together to improve visibility in 156 national parks and wilderness areas. The rule requires the states, in coordination with the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Forest Service, and other interested parties, to develop and implement air quality protection plans to reduce the pollution that causes visibility impairment.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Manual
Abstract: Since implementing an IPM program in the early 1980's, the Park Service has reduced pesticide use by over 60% and improved effectiveness of pest management. One resource they provided to accomplish this is this manual that includes descriptions of the biology and management of 21 species or categories of pests.

Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
Abstract: The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) established a system for managing non-hazardous and hazardous solid wastes in an environmentally sound manner. Specifically, it provides for the management of hazardous wastes from the point of origin to the point of final disposal. RCRA also promotes resource recovery and waste minimization.
