Florida DEP's Southeast District announces award program

fl-dep-logo-pngSoutheast Florida – In support of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s vision of creating strong community partnerships, safeguarding Florida’s natural resources and enhancing its ecosystems, DEP’s Southeast District (SED) has developed a new Superior Excellence Distinction Award Program to recognize an organization’s exceptional achievements in environmental stewardship, ensuring responsible use and protection of natural resources through conservation and sustainable practices.

The program recognizes businesses, industries, trade associations, professional organizations, local governments and non-profit organizations in Southeast Florida for proactive, innovative and exceptional achievements to reduce impacts on the environment beyond measures required by permit or rule. DEP’s Southeast District encompasses the following seven counties: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee and Indian River.
