Tennessee Green Star Partnership Highlight - Lodge Manufacturing

TGSP logoGreen Star Partnership (TGSP) is an environmental leadership program facilitated by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. The partnership recognizes Tennessee industries that are committed to sustainability and that exhibit continuous improvement throughout their entire operation. Sharing successes, networking, and best management practices are just a few of the opportunities TGSP offers its members.

Benefits of membership in the TGSP include recognizing and sharing success in sustainability. The TGSP develops partner highlights as one of the many ways sustainability in action is shared through it’s members. This month’s (August 2016) partner highlight is Lodge Manufacturing Company, makers of cast iron cookware.

Founded in 1896 by Joseph Lodge, Lodge Manufacturing Company is the oldest family-owned cookware company in the country. Located in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Lodge produces over 130 items of foundry seasoned cast-iron cookware: the most extensive selection on the market. Not only do they produce a variety of high quality products, they prioritize production and materials management choices to promote more sustainable operations while reducing their bottom line.
