Alabama Green Progress Report highlights environmental success stories from last year

The Green Resource Center for Alabama released its 2015 Green Progress Report this week, highlighting nearly 100 examples of environmental projects and sustainability initiatives throughout the state.

The 2015 report highlights the work of individuals, businesses and non-profit groups in nine categories: Land Conservation and Preservation; Environmental Education; Energy Efficiency; Transportation; Recycling and Cleanups; Parks Trails and Recreation; Building and Design; Corporate Sustainability; and Sustainability Progress and Initiatives.

“We’re proud to see an evolving commitment to the kind of sustainability practices that not only help support the endurance of our environment but also encourage enhanced quality of life for both current and future generations,” Green Resource Council president Chris Williams said in a news release.
