Boeing South Carolina joins SC Environmental Excellence Program

COLUMBIA – Catherine Templeton, Director of the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control, visited The Boeing Company’s North Charleston plant to recognize the aircraft manufacturer as the newest member of the South Carolina Environmental Excellence Program (SCEEP).

Since coming to the state two years ago, Boeing has earned seven awards for their environmentally conscious efforts and achievements. Boeing becomes the 41st facility to become a member of the SCEEP, a program dedicated to improving South Carolina’s environment by reducing waste streams through pollution prevention and by reducing consumption of energy and other resources.
